He graduated from Hacettepe University English Faculty of Medicine in 1996. Opr. Dr. Mehmet Tahir Sam, who completed his specialization in Istanbul Ok Meydanı Training and Research Hospital in 2000, worked as an Ophthalmologist in public and private hospitals in Istanbul, Malatya and Antalya.

He is especially experienced in Cataract, Laser Refractive Surgery and Anterior Segment Surgery, as well as Vitroretinal Surgery, Oculoplastic Surgery and Strabismus Surgery.

He has more than 30 articles published in national and international journals, also posters, oral presentations and video presentations at congresses and symposiums.

He is a member of Turkish Medical Association (TTB), Turkish Ophthalmology Association (TOD) and Board Member of TOD Konya Antalya Branch. He is a delegate of European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS), American Society Of Cataract & Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), International Ocular Inflammation Society (IOIS), European Vitre Retinal Society (EVRS).

Currently, he continues to work actively as an Eye Polyclinic Supervisor at the Private Medical Park Antalya Hospital Complex in Antalya.
