Phakic IOL
These are the surgical procedures that provide correction of refractive errors by placing a lens inside the eye in myopes over +10D and hypermetropes over +6D, which are not suitable for Excimer Laser. While correcting Myopia and Hyperopia, if there is an existing Astigmatism, it can also be corrected with appropriate lens selection. Lenses from various companies are available. Depending on the design of the lenses, their placement and surgical techniques differ, lens can be placed behind or in front of the iris, or it can be attached to the iris tissue with clamps.
I prefer and recommend Iris Claw Lenses in my clinical practice due to successful results and rare complications.
